Yes.. electric cars have been "Killed". Not once but many many times. This is a must view Doc as it is very enlightening about the forces that control your government, your free market competition and your wallet.

Electric cars are widely desired by consumers. "Refuel" at home, better MPG per dollar, and the big one.. quiet, clean they are ZERO IMPACT on the environment!

It boils down to this.. simple.. succinct.. basically.. the Oil Companies who have significant control over "our" government are using "our" government to ensure something as sane as an electric vehicle does NOT displace the insane raping of you once, twice.. three times a week at the gas pump.

Everyone is stuck in standing traffic.. all burning oil.. all going no where.. all paying Exxon/Mobil for their blood for oil gas billions a minute.

So what if it is destroying the very air you breathe? So what if it polluting hydrocarbon green house we need to be "Green" does not apply when it comes to cutting into Exxon/Mobil blood profits.

Electric cars are quite feasible and competitive. In fact when cars were first developed the electric vehicle was actually the dominant and preferred vehicle. This is not the first time they were killed to protect oil company greed insanity.

Oil embargo of the 70's? People were building electric vehicles in their garages. That embargo ended quick lest everyone move away from oil.

GM was producing, forced by California government mandates to produce a "Zero emission" vehicle. They did.. it was wildly popular.. GM would not sell it only lease if you had the powerful connections and patience to get one.. and finally when they overturned the mandated all vehicle leases were terminated!

Years later GM needs a "bailout"? In retrospective of the shafting they gave Californians refusing to deliver a smoking hot product? Let GM die those bastards!

As I said.. a must see Doc. You are being raped and pillaged the government is sanctioning corporate greed and stifling competition.

They can easily produce an electric car yet they won't... We are just so green!

Getting back to applied Ad hominemics(?) which is needed ever more and more in today's world of "BS for sale" is epidemic. Some examples might help clarify it's proper use and effectiveness.

We Are Change Confronts Bill Clinton in Minnesota

This first one is a video of We Are Change activists confronting Bill Clinton about 9/11 being an inside job, the Bohemian Grove and the like. Pay real close attention to how "Slick Willy" answers, more accurately avoids answering, the confrontations. Irrefutable overwhelming evidence that the World Trade Center was taken down with controlled demolitions. Beyond dispute it can not be rationally argued against. Do your own learning about that. How did Willy answer? Roughly.. "It was not an inside job because I knew someone who was severely injured and needed major reconstructive surgery to recover... ad hominem, ad hominem.." Slick.. real slick... "I'll be glad to answer your question if you will shut up and let me talk!"... ad hominem. Bohemian Grove? ...ad hominem. Notice also the effectiveness with the crowd of Willy answering with ad hominems.

Actually there was a video I had in mind for this but could not quickly find it. It was Willy being confronted about 9/11 being an inside job and his answer was something like.. "How dare you.." say such a thing.. ad hominem.

Here is another example. This time Al is in the congressional hearing hot seat being confronted about his claim the man made global warming science is settled.. Al say's there is a consensus about it!

Quick overview.. the UN committee coming to this "Science is settled consensus" that Al is waving around as official is being called into question. The UN committee has 1,500-2,500 "Scientists". It turns out very very few are actual "Climatologists". And in fact most are political bureaucratic scientists from totally unrelated fields. What the confronter is trying to point out to Al that in fact there is a petition of something like 35,000 actual, real and true genuine Climatologists that are pissed off about this UN science conclusion. Do NOT agree with it at all! Do your own research about the truth of this it is not within the scope of this post.

Getting back to Al's confronter suggesting "Geez Al... there are a LOT of Climatologists that say that claim is absurd BS! Al's answer? yep.. "There are people that believe the moon landing was staged on a movie lot!".. ad hominem avoid the facts and suggest your challenger is some kind of fool insane a nut job for saying such a thing! The only answer possible when you have been obliterated and caught in an un-winnable position.

There was another video with Al being questioned in congressional hearing where he was confronted about his apparent conflict of interests about this. In particular he was challenged about having significant financial investments based upon his bogus claim being real. Al's answer.. yep.. jist.. "If you think that you don't know me at all! I am offended and insulted!" rather than explain his actual financial investments she was referring to.. she is the bad wrong person for even asking such a thing it does not deserve an answer.. Ad hominem.

Politicians seem to be expert at Ad hominem they rely on it major. Understand they say one thing then do another and when confronted? Ad hominem! The examples from them abound just listen to any interactive conversation carefully Ad hominems are plentiful.

Nancy Pelosi Confronter: "Where in the Constitution do you get the authority to do such a thing?!"
Nancy Pelosi's answer: "Are you kidding?" Delivered like you're some kind of insane maniac... Ad hominem.

Truther, birther, deniar... all are ad hominems used to avoid the actual un-winnable debate. In fact we just love negative and derogatory labels that have no basis in fact nor reason and are just pure ad hominem. Fringe, flake, extremist... ad nauseum.

It may help to think of ad hominem this way: "When you can't destroy the message.. destroy the messenger!".

On the other hand in 2008 Ron Paul, who has a long stellar history winning awards, well read, written and clearly a Constitutional class statesman, special interests do not even bother knocking on his door, actually tells you the truth, talks about real issues, several obviously he knows what he is talking about successful predictions and basically wants to drain the DC swamp? TV told us he is a nobody flake fringe mad man... Don't vote for him. Don't even talk about or think about him!

Hmmmm... A nobody extremely corrupt duplicitous foreigner or a seasoned honest extremely knowledgeable statesman with stellar history???

TV! It's magic! Still looking for that bank are you? How is all that hope and change working for you?

Now it's 2012... got your TV turned on? All plugged in are you? Up on the latest polls, stats, issues and other TV "expert" pundit "reporting"? Got your finger right solid on the pulse of TV reality do you? Here we go again.. TV magic! Romney is the TV declared everybody wants him front runner! Again.. Ron Paul is a TV declared loser nobody is interested in him. TV has all your thinking laid out for you nice and easy, you don't have to do a thing, just relax and let your mind go blank. Years and years of practice at this we should all be real good at it by now. TV programming magic!

Now I know this may be hard for you it requires an attention span of a few minutes but tough it out. It is an example of why you should never, ever, turn your TV off nor get information from other sources instead of TV.

Romney who has a multimillion dollar war chest, courtesy of the big bank wall street 1%, barely draws dozens on his stumping tour around the country. And honestly the small pathetic crowds look and act disinterested?

Paul on the other hand, no money at all from the big bank wall street 1%, draws crowds measured in the thousands. Sell outs. Standing room only. And the large crowds receive him and are animated as if he is a Rock Star! Lets just say very energetic and engaged.

This is just one example of why you should never turn your TV off. This is why you should never seek your own information about what is going on and what is real. If you do this too often the whole TV Magic thing vanishes like it is nothing but illusion. You'll have to do your own thinking, your own investigation research and ultimately live a totally alien and alternate reality.

It's an oil and water thing they don't mix. One or the other. The two conflict.

Let the TV again tell us who to vote for, not to vote for, trust us, things just keep getting better and better, no?
